Katie's Day - GDT Scrapmuch? Sketch-y Friday

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be the Guest Designer once again for Scrapmuch? This wonderful group of ladies have helped me develop my style over the last 4 years.

Here is my layout.....

I created this double layout with photos from my daughter's friend's wedding. Sara was on of the bridesmaids in the wedding. The photos were just fabulous to work with, and the girl's dresses matched the new Authentique line of papers.

I inked around the wooden heart that I got as a gift from a dear friend for Christmas with Powder Puff Chalking Ink, and cut the leafy swirl with a thin die. I added some gold Zazz with a stencil on my background.

I cut out some fabric flower clusters from a Petaloo ribbon and added to my hearts for some detail.

The metal keys and lock are one of my favorite embellishment (Martha Stewart).

Lettering is Thickers.

Love You This Much GG

Today I would like to share a layout that I created with Valentine papers, but it is a Christmas layout!

The pictures were taken Christmas Day with my Mom playing Santa. Everyone has to get their picture taken with her before they can open their gift. This has been a long standing tradition in our family. The two pictures are with my grandsons and GG.

I used the sketch from Let's Capture Our Memories Sketch #58 Sketch This Out."Sketch This Out!" feature - one sketch, one set of products, three designs. The sketch is one of the talent Laura Whitaker's!

I would also like to submit this to My Mind's Eye February Challenge. The challenge is to use one of their collections to showcase "All you need is love".

I used the new Cupids Arrow No.14 collection of papers and stickers and embellies from my Scrapmuch? February Kit Club kit which you can find the info here. I also used some MME washi tape.

I have another layout to share with you today. I am using the February 15th sketch from Boy's Rule Scrapbook Kits - Extreme Challenge - Sketch Style.... you can find the info here.

For this layout I used a photo taken last year on Canada Day! After going to the zoo, we went to a local park so the boys could play!

Here is my layout.....

I added the sunburst on my background with a Heidi Swapp stencil and paint.

 I created these pinwheels!

I used a mini paper bag to insert my journaling tag.

HAPPINESS IS.....

Good Morning Canada.....we won Gold this morning in the Men's Hockey. I think most of Canada was up at 7 a.m. to watch the game!

On this lovely sunny day, I would like to share a layout that shows total HAPPINESS. Last summer we attended a Community Appreciation Day thanks to the Burford Agricultural Society. They presented a Monster Truck show. At this show they had lots of tractors on display that everyone could climb and sit on. Our Grandsons were in heaven. To make it even better....some were ORANGE!!!

I ordered some new dies recently....I just love these little gears....perfect for a tractor page!

I am also entering this at Creative Embellishments, I used the word Happiness and was inspired by the bright orange O that I used over and over with the gears!

ZOO MUCH FUN! - STUCK?! DT SKETCH

Well we have made it to mid February....hopefully we will be see signs of spring soon!!! It has been a long,  extremely cold, snowy winter here in Southern Ontario.

Today for the February 15th Design Team reveal at Stuck?!, I would like to share a Summery layout that I created with photos from July 1st, 2013. We went to a small local zoo to celebrate Canada Day! Our grandsons loved the petting zoo part the most. My layout shows them feeding the goats!

I used Simple Storied - Daily Grind paper and embellishments that were from my January Kit from Scrapmuch? and decorative tape by My Mind's Eye.

AMOUR

Today I have another seasonal layout to share....and the season is Love with Valentine's Day just around the corner. This layout features a picture of my daughter and her boyfriend taken around Christmas.

There is a fun challenge at Scrap Our Stash for February called SWAK!

And the challenge is to create a layout with Red AND/OR Pink (50% of layout) with the following stash items: 

S. - Stitching (machine, hand or faux), W. - Washi Tape
A. - Arrow, K. - Kraft paper/embellishment

I used the following Red Paper by Fancy Pants (it is a dark red, but showed up maroon in the photo) and red Thickers. I machine stitched some accents; I used Chalk Studio Washi tape by MME; I cut an arrow out of co-ordinating paper and my Kraft paper item is a mini bag by Canvas Corp. Other items used by Cosmo Cricket, Making Memories and Recollections, Martha Stewart.

So Much Scrappy Fun

It has been another very snowy day in Southern Ontario....but we are all home safely, so I thought I would share another layout! My inspiration came from Sketches in Thyme Challenges #122.

This photo was taken at our first Scrapfest experience. We had a blast!

Materials - Paper by Pebbles; Embellies - Basic Grey, Bo Bunny, & My Mind's Eye. The title was loot from a Scrapmuch? crop.

For this post, I created a layout of our dog, Molly when she was about 8 months old. I used a sketch from Scrap & Music Sketch #20 & Ho Hey by the Lumineers. The word from the lyrics I choose for my layout is BELONG.....
